Isaiah and the Worry Pack (Read-aloud)

Help Children Discover God’s Peace in Worry
It’s bedtime again, but Isaiah can’t sleep. It seems he’s got too many things on his mind: things he’s worried about.
Isaiah is a thoughtful boy who loves his family—but sometimes, his worries feel too heavy to carry. Thoughts of his family’s safety and his own fears weigh on him like heavy blocks. So, one day Mom helps Isaiah imagine what it would be like if each of his worries were a block that he could stash in his backpack. As Isaiah imagines hiking through the woods carrying his worry pack, he discovers the joy and relief of trusting Jesus with everything—especially those worries.
With heartfelt storytelling and vibrant illustrations, Isaiah and the Worry Pack gently teaches children that they can give their fears to God. Ruth Goring’s tender narrative and Pamela C. Rice’s warm artwork will captivate young readers and the adults in their lives.
Isaiah and the Worry Pack also includes a special note to parents and caregivers with guidance on discussing worry, prayer, and trust with children, making it an excellent resource for families or church communities.
